Director Applications open for 2025 - 2026

Studio Players is accepting applications to direct for our 2025 – 2026 season. We are an all volunteer, non-union organization that has been continuously performing in Montclair, NJ since 1937. Applicants are invited to pitch up to 3 titles. Our online application form is below.

Our Casting Philosophy

All Studio Players auditions are open to the public. There is no pay involved. We are an organization that is comprised entirely of volunteers .We have no required experience, fees, or membership dues for anyone on or backstage. We stand committed to casting people of color in any role that will showcase their talent, to producing works by playwrights of all races, faiths, genders, and sexual orientations, and to inviting all people in our diverse communities to join us onstage or behind the scenes in volunteering to express our collective voices and stories.

Please note that diversity and inclusion are important driving factors in programming on all levels at Studio Players. We actively seek out opportunities to diversify our casts, creative teams, board membership, and audiences. As we select our season, we will strive to achieve diversity of characters, playwrights, and stories that we present. Please consider these points as you select your titles for presentation.
