Studio Players Adds The Importance of Being Earnest to the 2013-2014 Season

earnest (1) (450x317)Initially, Studio Players planned to perform in Harvey in March. In late October, we were informed that the right to the show were no longer available. We have therefore replaced Harvey with the Oscar Wilde classic comedy The Importance of Being Earnest. Patrons who already had booked tickets for Harvey will have their tickets automatically transferred to The Importance of Being Earnest.  Letters to subscribers will be mailed shortly informing them of this change. The Importance of

Being Earnest

By Oscar Wilde

Directed by Amy Fox

Stage Managers: Judi Liebert and Danna Boshak

This witty and buoyant comedy of manners is brilliantly plotted from its effervescent first act to its hilarious denouement.  Men-about-town, John Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff pursue fair ladies Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. Matters are complicated by the imaginary characters invented by both men to cover their on-the-sly activities. The Importance of Being Earnest is a masterpiece of high comedy, sparkling with provocative observations not to be missed.
