Director’s Note
Sondheim said it best “All the best performers bring to their role something more, something different than what the author put on paper. That’s what makes theatre live. That’s why it persists.” Tonight, over thirty performers will do exactly that for you the audience. These performers will bring their special something to the songs of Stephen Sondheim. Tonight, we pay tribute to (as the New York Times said) “theater’s most revered and influential composer-lyricist of the last half of the 20th century, if not its most popular.” Mr. Sondheim this is for you thank you for the music.
